November 2016 - Dachshund Club Championship Show - 2nd Minor Puppy Bitch and 1st Puppy Bitch - Judge Wendell Moore

This class was full of promising babies headed by two excellent bitches, interesting to see they are litter sisters. 1 Blackburn-Bennett’s Stargang Cherry Berry, lovely red bitch with beautiful head & eye, reachy neck, sound front, excellent ribbing, level topline, well developed hind angulation, shows such promise for the future; 2 Hutchings’ Stargang Hot Cross Bun, brindle but so similar to the first in body. Very many of the same lovely comments apply. I’m sure, like her sister, that she will have a fantastic show career;

Attractive brindle of pleasing appearance, well shown & handled. She is a little low to the ground. I would have preferred

 a tad more ground clearance

July 2017 Leek Show - 1st Junior, Best of Breed - Simon Burton

Super quality 14 months r/br bitch, a real Dachshund in miniature. Lovely outline, well balanced head with strength to muzzle and a calm, confident expression from lovely dark eyes. Length and arch to neck giving great carriage and superb front from both side and head on with correct set of shoulder and corresponding angle and lay of upper arm. Probably the best pro-sternum and keel of the day. Short and strong forearms but giving enough ground clearance for activity, length to body, already mature in ribbing and holds a firm topline. Slightly sloping croup curving gently over muscular rear end, well angulated with straight hind legs. Feet ok, tail set and carried correctly, supple skin, dense coat in lovely condition but doesn't need any more weight. Really comes together on the move with excellent length of stride, good drive, great rhythm, perfect balance and great carriage. I loved her and will follow her career with interest. Wouldn't be surprised if green cards come her way very soon. BOB

Lancs & Cheshire Dachshund Club Open Show - 2nd Junior Bitch, 1st Novice Bitch- Judge Jane Howells

11 months, quite mature bitch who I placed 3 in a very strong PB class. She has a correct head & eye, good reach of neck into a prominent, well developed oval forechest, good width through keel, well sprung ribs that are carried back to a short loin & a broad well developed rump & lovely hammy thighs. She has a super, bold temperament & was thoroughly enjoying herself moving around the ring, although her movement was a little erratic on times, she settled enough for me to see that it was sound & true;
